Scripture வேத வசனம் : 2கொரிந்தியர் 13:10, ஆனதால் இடித்துப்போடவல்ல, ஊன்றக் கட்டவே கர்த்தர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த அதிகாரத்தின்படி, நான் உங்களிடத்தில் வந்திருக்கும்போது, கண்டிதம்பண்ணாதபடிக்கு, நான் தூரமாயிருந்து இவைகளை எழுதுகிறேன்.

Observation கவனித்தல் : கொரிந்துவில் உள்ள சபையில் உள்ள பிரச்சனைகளைத் தீர்ப்பதற்கு பவுல் தனது அதிகாரத்தைப் பயன்படுத்தினார். அதிகாரம் என்பது கொடுக்கப்பட்ட எல்லைக்குள் தீர்மானங்களை எடுப்பதற்கும், மற்றவர்களை பொறுப்புள்ளவர்களாக ஆக்குவதுமான பொறுப்பு ஆகும். இது கர்த்தரிடமிருந்து வருகிறது. அவர் அனைத்து அதிகாரங்களையுமுடையராக இருக்கிறார். பவுலுடைய நன்மைக்காக அவனுக்கு அதிகாரம் கொடுக்கப்படவில்லை, மாறாக அவன் உதவிகரமாக இருக்கும்படிக்கு அது கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. கீழ்ப்படிதலிலிருந்தே அதிகாரம் பிறக்கிறது - கீழ்ப்படிதலின் பாடங்களை ஒருவர் கற்கவில்லை எனில், அதிகாரத்தைக் குறித்த பொறூப்புகளில் அவர்கள் எப்பொழுதும் பிரச்சனைகளை அனுபவிப்பர். அதிகாரமானது கட்டுப்படுத்துவதற்கு அல்ல சேவை செய்வதற்கான ஒரு கருவி ஆகும். அதிகாரம் ஒருவரை சர்வாதிகாரியாக்குவதில்லை , வேலையாளாக (சேவகனாக) மாற்றுகிறது.

Application பயன்பாடு : ஒரு கணவனாக, பெற்றோராக, அல்லது ஒரு தலைவனாக, எனக்கான காரியங்களை சிறந்ததாக்கும் படிக்கு அதிகாரம் எனக்கு கொடுக்கப்பட வில்லை. மாறாக, மற்றவர்களுக்காக காரியங்களை சிறந்ததாக்குவதற்கு எனக்கு சக்தி கொடுக்கும்படிக்கு அதிகாரம் எனக்கு கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. எனது பொறுப்புக்கு கீழ் இருப்பவர்கள் என் தீர்மானங்களை விரும்பாமல் இருக்கும் தருணங்கள் இருக்கலாம். எனக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியை அளிக்காத தீர்மானங்களாக இருக்கும் வேளையில் அவை எனது பொறுப்புக்குட்பட்டவைகளுக்கு சரியானவையாக இருக்கும் தருணங்களும் அதிகம் வரலாம். மற்றவர்களுக்கு மாத்திரமல்ல, நான் தேவனுக்கும் பதில் சொல்ல பொறுப்பாளியாக இருக்கிறேன்.

Prayer ஜெபம் : ஆண்டவரே, வாழ்க்கை என்பது எப்படி கீழ்ப்படியவேண்டும் மற்றும் எப்படி அதிகாரத்தில் இருக்கவேண்டும் என்ற அதிகாரத்தைக் குறித்த தொடர்பாடங்களாக இருக்கிறது என்று காண்கிறேன். இந்த வாழ்க்கையில் மட்டுமல்ல, இனிவரப்போகிற வாழ்க்கையிலும் நீர் என்னிடமிருந்து அதிக பலனையடையும்படிக்கு நான் எனது பாடங்களை நன்றாக படிக்க உதவும். ஆமென்!

A tool for serving

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 13:10 This is why I write these things when I am absent, that when I come I may not have to be harsh in my use of authority— the authority the Lord gave me for building you up, not for tearing you down.

Observation: Paul was using his authority to correct issues in the church at Corinth . Authority is the responsibility to make decisions within designated boundaries and to hold others accountable. It comes from the Lord who has all authority! Authority was not given to Paul for his benefit but to make him beneficial. Authority flows out of submission—if one has not learned the lessons of submission they will always have trouble with the responsibilities of authority. It is not a tool for controlling but for serving. Authority does not make one a dictator but a servant.

Application: As a husband, as a parent, or as a boss, authority has not been given to me to make things better for myself but to empower me to make things better for others. There may be times when those for whom I am responsible will not like my decisions. There may be even more times when I do not enjoy those decisions myself, but they are right for the area of my responsibility. Not only am I responsible for others, I am also responsible to God!

Prayer: Lord, it seems life is a continual lesson in authority, learning both how to submit and how to be in authority. May I learn my lessons well so that you can get maximum benefit from me, not only in this life, but also in the life to come. Amen.
