SOAP 4 Today - மதிப்பீடுகள்

வாசிக்க: 1 இராஜாக்கள்.13, 2நாளாகமம் 12, பிலிப்பியர் 3.

Scripture வேத வசனம்: பிலிப்பியர்.3:7. ஆகிலும், எனக்கு லாபமாயிருந்தவைகளெவைகளோ அவைகளைக் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு நஷ்டமென்று எண்ணினேன்.
8. அதுமாத்திரமல்ல, என் கர்த்தராகிய கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவை அறிகிற அறிவின் மேன்மைக்காக எல்லாவற்றையும் நஷ்டமென்று எண்ணிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்.

Observation கவனித்தல் : பவுல் தன்னைக் குறித்து பெருமைப் பட்டுக்கொள்வதற்கு, அவரிடம் பல சிறப்பியல்புகள் இருந்தன. யூத சமூதாயத்தில் அவ்வியல்புகள் மிகவும் மதிப்பு மிக்கவையாக இருந்தன. ஆனால் பவுல் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றுபவராக மாறினபோது, அவருடைய வாழ்க்கை மாற்றப்பட்டது. அவருடைய மதிப்பீடுகளில் பெரும் மாற்றம் நிகழ்ந்தது. முன்பு மிகவும் பெருமையானதாக அவர் கருதியவற்றை இப்பொழுது அவர் ஒன்றுக்கும் உதவாததாகக் காண்கிறார். இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுக்கு தங்கள் வாழ்க்கையை ஒப்படைக்கும்படிக்கு விடுக்கப்படுகிற அழைப்புக்கு ஒருவர் எந்தளவுக்கு இடம் கொடுக்கிறார் என்பதைப் பொறுத்தே அவருடைய மதிப்பீடுகளில் மாற்றம் ஏற்படுகிறது என்பதை நான் கவனித்திருக்கிறேன்.

Application பயன்பாடு : நான் என் சிறுவயதில் கிறிஸ்தவனாக மாறினேன். அச்சமயத்தில் எவ்வாறு மதிப்பிடுவது என்பதை நான் முழுமையாக அறிந்திருக்கவில்லை. ஆகவே என் மதிப்பீடுகளில் நான் மாற்றம் எதியும் பெரிதாகக் காணவில்லை. மதிப்பீடுகள் தொடர்ந்து மாறிக்கொண்டே இருக்கின்றன என்பதை நான் கண்டுகொண்டேன். நான் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுடன் இணைந்து நெருக்கமாக வாழாமலும், அவருடைய் மதிப்பீடுகளை நான் கவனமாக கேட்காமலும் இருந்தால் , என் மதிப்பீடுகள் சுயத்தை மையமாகக் கொண்டு காணப்படும். இவ்வாறு காணப்பட்டால், நான் அவருடைய மதிப்பீடுகளுடன் ஒப்பிட்டு என் மதிப்பீடுகளை சரிச்ய்து கொள்ளவேண்டும்.

Prayer ஜெபம்: கர்த்தாவே, என் மதிப்பீடுகளைத் தொடர்ந்து சோதித்தறியும். உடனடியாக நான் உமது மதிப்பீடுகளுக்கு என் மதிப்பீடுகளை மாற்றிக்கொள்பவனாக இருக்க உதவும். ஆமென்.

Values

Scripture: Philippians 3:7 But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.
8 What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish that I may gain Christ

Observation: Paul had many characteristics of which he could be proud. They were characteristics that carried much weight in the Jewish community. But when Paul became a follower of Jesus his life changed and a major change was in his values. Things in what he once took great pride, he now saw as worthless. I have noticed that the longer one puts off the call to surrender their life to Jesus, the greater the change in their values.

Application: When I became a Christian I was quite young; my values had not been fully established. So I do not remember any major changes in my values. But I have discovered that changing values is a continual work. If I am not walking close to the Lord and listening carefully to His evaluations, my heart gets to valuing things around me much more than He does and we have to work to realign my values with His.

Prayer: Lord, continually check my values. May I be quick to change my estimation of what things are worth to align with yours. Amen.
