தனித்திருக்கவில்லை

வாசிக்க: ஆமோஸ் 1-3; சங்கீதம் 80; 2 தீமோத்தேயு 4.

Scripture வேதவசனம்: 2தீமோத்தேயு 4:16 நான் முதல்விசை உத்தரவுசொல்ல நிற்கையில் ஒருவனும் என்னோடேகூட இருக்கவில்லை, எல்லாரும் என்னைக்கைவிட்டார்கள்; அந்தக் குற்றம் அவர்கள்மேல் சுமராதிருப்பதாக.

17. கர்த்தரோ எனக்குத் துணையாக நின்று, என்னாலே பிரசங்கம் நிறைவேறுகிறதற்காகவும், புறஜாதியார் கேட்கிறதற்காகவும், என்னைப் பலப்படுத்தினார்; சிங்கத்தின் வாயிலிருந்தும் நான் இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டேன்.

Observation: தனக்கு எதிராக சுமத்தப்பட்ட குற்றச்சாட்டுகளை தனியாக எதிர்த்து நிற்க வேண்டியிருந்ததைக் குறித்து பவுல் தீமோத்தேயுவுக்கு எழுதுகிறார். எல்லாரும் அவ்ரை கைவிட்டாலும் அவர் தனித்து விடப்படவில்லை. அவரோடு இருப்பதற்கு ஒரு மனிதனும் இல்லாதபோது, கர்த்தர் தன்னோடு இருக்கிறதி அவர் அறிந்திருந்தார். எவ்வித மனித உதவியும் ஆறுதலும் அவ்ருக்கு கிடைக்கவில்லை, ஆனால் கர்த்தர் அவரோடு கூட இருந்து பெலப்படுத்தினார்.

Application பயன்பாடு: யாருமே இல்லாத வேளைகளில் நாம் தனிமையை உணர்கிறோம். மிகுந்த ஜனக்கூட்டத்தில் அவர்கள் நமக்கு அந்நியர்களாக இருப்பதினாலோ அல்லது நம்மைப் புரியாதவர்களாகவோ இருந்தால் நாம் தனிமையை சில வேளைகளில் உணர்கிறோம். தேவனைப் பற்றிய உண்மையை நான் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்போது, நான் ஒருபோதும் தனியாக இருப்பதில்லை என்ற உறுதியை திரும்பவும் பெறுகிறேன்.

Prayer: கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய பிரசன்னம் எனக்கு போதுமானதாக இருப்பதைக் கண்டு கொண்டேன். உம்முடைய சித்தத்தைச் செய்து முடிப்பதற்கு நீர் எனக்கு பெலனைத் தருகிறீர் என்பதையும் நான் கண்டு கொண்டேன். ஆமென்.

Never alone
Amos 1-3; Psalm 80; 2Timothy 4

Scripture: 2Timothy 4:16 At my first defense, no-one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them.
17 But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth.

Observation: Paul writes to Timothy of standing alone in the face of charges that were brought against him. He was alone, but not really alone. When there was no man to stand with him, Paul was aware that the Lord was standing with him. There was no human comfort or encouragement available, but the Lord was present and gave him strength.

Application: Sometimes we feel alone because no one is present. Other times we can feel alone in a crowd of people, either because they are strangers or because they do not understand. When I acknowledge the truth of God I am reassured that I am never alone.

Prayer: Lord, I too have found Your presence sufficient. I too have found that You give strength to accomplish Your will. Amen.
