SOAP 4 Today - செல்வாக்கு

வாசிக்க : 2இராஜாக்கள் 11,12; 2நாளாகமம் 24; 1தீமோத்தேயு 6

Scripture வேதவசனம்: 2நாளாகமம் 24:2 . ஆசாரியனாகிய யோய்தாவின் நாளெல்லாம் யோவாஸ் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்தான்.....

17.யோய்தா மரணமடைந்தபின்பு யூதாவின் பிரபுக்கள் வந்து, ராஜாவை பணிந்துகொண்டார்கள்; அப்பொழுது ராஜா அவர்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்தான்.

18. அப்படியே அவர்கள் தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்தை விட்டுவிட்டு, தோப்பு விக்கிரகங்களையும் சிலைகளையும் சேவித்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் செய்த இந்தக் குற்றத்தினிமித்தம் யூதாவின்மேலும் எருசலேமின்மேலும் கடுங்கோபம் மூண்டது.

Observation கவனித்தல்: இந்த வேதபகுதியில் இரண்டு மனிதர்களைப் பற்றி சொல்லப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. அவர்கள்: ஆசாரியனாகிய யோய்தா மற்றும் இராஜாவாகிய யோவாஸ். யோய்தா மிகவும் அதிகாரம் மிக்கவராக இருந்தார். அவர் இராஜாவின் அதிகாரத்திக் கெடுக்க நினைக்கவில்லை, மாறாக தெய்வபக்தியுள்ள வாழ்க்கைக்கு நேராக இராஜாவையும், தேசத்தை தேவனுடைய வழிகளில் நடத்தவும் தாக்கத்தை உண்டாக்கினார். யோய்தா மரித்தபோது, அவன் இராஜாவாக இல்லாவிடினும் கூட, எருசலேமில் இராஜாக்கள் அடக்கம் செய்யப்படும் இடத்தில் அடக்கம் பண்ணப்பட்டான்.

மற்றொரு பக்கத்தில் நாம் இராஜாவாகிய யோவாஸைக் காண்கிறோம். ஆசாரியனாகிய யோய்தா இராஜாவினுடனே கூட இருந்த நாட்கள் மட்டும், அவன் தேவனை சேவித்தான். ஆனால் யோய்தா மரித்த பின், அவன் மற்றவர்களிடமிருந்து ஆலோசனை பெற்றான், அவர்கள் தேவனை விட்டு அவனை வழிவிலகப் பண்ணினார்கள். எந்தக் காரியத்திலும் அவன் பலவீனமானவனாகக் காட்சியளித்தான். இராஜாவாகிய யோவாஸ் பரிதாபமாக மரித்தான், அவன் இராஜாவாக இருந்தும் இராஜாக்களின் கல்லறையில் வைக்கப்படவில்லை.

Application பயன்பாடு: எனக்கு கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிற அதிகாரம் மற்றும் செல்வாக்கையும் தவறாகப் பயன்படுத்தாமல், யோய்தாவைப் போல தேவனுடைய மகிமைக்காக அவற்றை பயன்படுத்தவேண்டும். இராஜாவாகிய யோவாஸைப் போல அல்லாது, என் வாழ்க்கையை செலுத்தி இயக்க நான் யாருக்கு அனுமதிக்கிறேன் என்பதில் கவனமாயிருக்கவேண்டும். நான் வேதாகமத்தை அதிகமாக அறிய அறிய, நான் இவைகளைச் செய்வதில் அதிக ஞானமுள்ளவனாகிறேன்.

Prayer ஜெபம்: கர்த்தாவே, ஜனங்களை உமக்கென்று திருப்புவதற்கான ஞானத்தை எனக்குத் தாரும். என் வாழ்க்கையில் மாற்றத்தை உண்டு பண்ண யாரை அனுமதிப்பது என்பதை அறியும் ஞானத்தையும் எனக்குத் தாரும். ஆமென்.

Influence

2Kings 11,12; 2Chronicles 24; 1Timothy 6

Scripture: 2Chronicles 24:2 Joash did what was right in the eyes of the LORD all the years of Jehoiada the priest. ………

17 After the death of Jehoiada, the officials of Judah came and paid homage to the king, and he listened to them.

18 They abandoned the temple of the LORD, the God of their fathers, and worshipped Asherah poles and idols. Because of their guilt, God’s anger came upon Judah and Jerusalem .

Observation: This chapter has the account of two men, Priest Jehoiada and King Joash. Jehoiada was on the rise. He did not try to usurp the King’s authority, but influenced him to a godly life and to lead the nation in godly directions. When Jehoiada died, though not a king, he was buried with the kings in Jerusalem .

On the other hand we see King Joash. As long as Priest Jehoiada was by his side, he served the Lord. But when Jehoiada died, he took his counsel from others who led him away from God. He appears weak and easily led, either for good or for evil. King Joash died in disgrace and even though a king, was not buried in tombs of the kings.

Application: Like the priest Jehoiada, I should not underestimate the power of influence but faithfully use the influence I have for God’s glory. Unlike King Joash I must be careful about whom I allow to influence my life. The better I know the Bible, the wiser I will be in both of these areas.

Prayer: Lord, give me wisdom in how to best influence people for you. And give me wisdom in whom I allow to influence me. Amen.
