கடவுளின் தொடர்ச்சியான பிரசன்னம்

வேதாகமம்: 2கொரிந்தியர் 1: 8 .ஆகையால் சகோதரரே, ஆசியாவில் எங்களுக்கு நேரிட்ட உபத்திரவத்தை நீங்கள் அறியாதிருக்க எங்களுக்கு மனதில்லை. என்னவெனில், பிழைப்போம் என்கிற நம்பிக்கை அற்றுப்போகத்தக்கதாக, எங்கள் பலத்திற்கு மிஞ்சின அதிக பாரமான வருத்தம் எங்களுக்கு உண்டாயிற்று. 9. நாங்கள் எங்கள்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிராமல், மரித்தோரை எழுப்புகிற தேவன்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிருக்கத்தக்கதாக, மரணம் வருமென்று நாங்கள் எங்களுக்குள்ளே நிச்சயித்திருந்தோம். 10. அப்படிப்பட்ட மரணத்தினின்றும் அவர் எங்களைத் தப்புவித்தார், இப்பொழுதும் தப்புவிக்கிறார், இன்னும் தப்புவிப்பார் என்று அவரை நம்பியிருக்கிறோம். 11. அநேகர்மூலமாய் எங்களுக்கு உண்டான தயவுக்காக அநேகரால் எங்கள் நிமித்தம் ஸ்தோத்திரங்கள் செலுத்தப்படும்பொருட்டு, நீங்களும் விண்ணப்பத்தினால் எங்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்யுங்கள்.

கவனிப்பு: இந்த கடிதத்தில், கொரிந்து சபையிலுள்ள பவுல், தாம் தாங்க வேண்டிய பெரும் போராட்டத்தை எழுதுகிறார். அது இனிமையானது அல்ல, அது சகித்துக்கொள்ள தனது சொந்த திறனை தாண்டி அவரை தள்ளியது. பவுல் அவர் இறக்க விரும்புவதாக தோன்றுகிறது. அவர் எப்படி அதை செய்தார்? அவர் தனது சொந்த பலம் மற்றும் திறனை நம்பியிருந்தார். அவர் கடவுள் மீது தங்கியிருந்தார். இறந்தவர்களை உயிர்த்தெழுப்ப கடவுள் போதுமான வல்லமை கொண்டிருந்தார்; பவுலைப் பெற கடவுளுக்கு போதுமான சக்தி இருந்தது.

கடந்த காலங்களில் கடவுள் அவரை எப்படி விடுவித்தார் என்பதை பவுல் நினைவுகூர்ந்தார். தேவன் அவருடன் இருந்தார், எனவே தேவன் தற்போதைய துன்பத்திலிருந்து அவரை விடுவிப்பார் என்பதில் பவுல் நம்பிக்கை வைத்திருந்தார். கடந்தகாலத்தில் பவுலை விடுவித்து, பவுலை விடுவிப்பவர், எதிர்காலத்தில் இன்னும் அறியப்படாத ஆபத்துகளிலிருந்து பவுலை விடுவிக்கும் ஒரே கடவுள்!

பயன்பாடு: கடவுளின் பிரசன்னம் என்னுடன் தொடர்கிறது! அவர் என்னுடன் இருந்தார்! அவர் என்னுடன் இருக்கிறார்! அவர் என்னுடன் இருப்பார் என்பதில் நான் உறுதியாக உள்ளேன்! கடவுளைப் பற்றிய உண்மையை, கடந்தகால நினைவுகளில் நான் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறேன், தற்போது எனக்கு நம்பிக்கை இருக்கிறது, எதிர்காலத்திற்கான நம்பிக்கை எனக்கு இருக்கிறது!

ஜெபம்: பரலோகத் தகப்பனே, “Constantly Abiding, Jesus is mine. Constantly abiding, rapture divine. You never leave me lonely, You whisper O, so kind, ‘I will never leave thee,’ Jesus is mine!”  என இயேசு என்னுடையவர் என்ற பாடலை நினைத்துப் பார்க்கிறேன். உம் தொடர்ச்சியான பிரசன்னத்திற்காக நன்றி! ஆமென்

The Continuous Presence of God  
April 01, 2019: SOAP #3406: Judges 11-12; Psalm 50; 2Corinthians 1

Scripture: 2Corinthians (NIV) 1:8 … We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. 9 Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 10 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

Observation: In this letter to the church in Corinth, Paul writes of a great struggle he had to endure. It was not pleasant It pushed him beyond his own capacity to endure. It appears Paul wished he could die. How did he make it through? He quit relying on his own strength and ability. He depended on God. God had enough power to raise the dead; God had enough power to get Paul through.

Paul remembered how God had delivered him in the past. God was with him so Paul had confidence that God will deliver him from the present trouble. And the God who delivered Paul in the past, and is delivering Paul in the present, is the same God who will deliver Paul from yet unknown perils in the future! 

Application: God’s presence continues with me! He was with me! He is with me! And I am confident that He will be with me! That truth about God, makes me rejoice in the memories of the past, makes me have faith in the present, and makes me have hope for the future!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I remember singing “Constantly Abiding, Jesus is mine. Constantly abiding, rapture divine. You never leave me lonely, You whisper O, so kind, ‘I will never leave thee,’ Jesus is mine!” Thank you for your continuous presence! Amen
