SOAP 4 Today -16 முத்து

2சாமுவேல் 1; சங்கீதம் 140; மத்தேய 13

Scripture: Matthew 13: 45-46 மேலும், பரலோகராஜ்யம் நல்ல முத்துக்களைத் தேடுகிற வியாபாரிக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது. அவன் விலையுயர்ந்த ஒரு முத்தைக் கண்டு, போய், தனக்குண்டான எல்லாவற்றையும் விற்று, அதைக் கொள்ளுகிறான்.

Observation கவனித்தல் : முத்துக்கள் விற்கும் கடைக்கு ஏற்கனவே போயிருந்த அனுபவம் அந்த வியாபாரிக்கு முத்துக்கள் இருக்கும் இடத்தை அறிந்திருக்கச் செய்திருக்கும். முத்துக்கள் ஒவ்வொன்றின் மதிப்பையும் அவன் புகழ்ந்து கூறியிருப்பான். ஆனால் இந்த முறை அவன் ஒரே ஒரு முத்தையே புகழ்கிறான். அந்த “விலையேறப் பெற்ற” முத்தை வாங்குவதற்காக மற்ற எல்லா முத்துக்களும் விற்கப் பட்டது. ஒரு பொருளுக்கான விலை மக்கள் அதைப் பெற மற்றும் பாதுகாக்க விரும்பும் அளவைப் பொறுத்து நிணயிக்கப்படுகிறது. நம் பாவங்களுக்காக மரிக்கும்படி தமது குமாரனை தேவன் விருப்பத்துடன் அனுப்பியபோது மனித உயிருக்கான மதிப்பு நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டது.

Application பயன்பாடு: மேலே சொல்லப்பட்ட உவமையின் கருத்து என்னவெனில், தேவன் என்னை எவ்வளவு நேசிக்கிறார் என்பதல்ல, நான் எவ்வளவு அதிகமாக தேவனை நேசிக்கிறேன் என்பதே! தேவன் எனக்காக செய்திருப்பவைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு நான் அவரை நேசிக்கிறேனா? அவரை நேசிப்பதற்கு எதாவது நான் செலுத்த வேண்டியதிருக்கிறதா? எனது கடையில் ஒரே ஒரு முத்துதான் இருக்கிறது எனில், அது என்னவாக இருக்கும்? அன்பின் அளவு தியாகத்தால் நிரூபிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பதால், நான் எந்தளவுக்கு அவரை நேசிக்கிறேன்? . (அன்பின் அளவு தியாகத்தால் நிரூபிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பதால், நான் என் மனைவியை..... என் குடும்பத்தை எவ்வளவு நேசிக்கிறேன்.

Prayer ஜெபம் : ஆண்டவரே, நீரே அந்த முத்து. இந்த உலகத்தில் இருக்கும் எதையும் விட, உலகத்தில் இருக்கும் எல்லா பொருட்களையும் ஒன்றாக கூட்டினாலும் கூட அதைவிட நீர் விலையேறப்பெற்றவர். என் மீது இவ்வளவு அதிக அன்பு வைத்ததற்காக நன்றி. நான் உம்மை எந்தளவுக்கு நேசிக்கிறேன் என்பதை மற்றவர்கள் காணட்டும். ஆமென்.

The Pearl

Scripture: Matthew 13: 45-46 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

Observation: A previous visit to this merchants shop would have revealed shelves of pearls. He would have extolled the value of each of them. But now a visit reveals only one pearl! All other pearls had been liquidated in order to purchase this one pearl of “great value.” The value of something is set at what people are willing to give to obtain it and maintain it. The value of a human life was set by God when He willingly sent His son to die in payment for my sins.

Application: The issue in the above parable is not how much God loves me, but how much I love God. Do I acknowledge and love God because of what He does for me, or does it cost me something? If there was only one pearl in my shop, what would it be? If the level of love is proved by sacrifice, how much do I love Him? (If the level of love is proved by sacrifice, how much do I love my wife? …my family?)

Prayer: Lord, you are that pearl! You are worth more than anything else in the world, and more than all those things added together. Thank you for placing such great value on me. May others see how much I value you. Amen.
