SOAP 4 Today - நிகழ்காலம் vs எதிர்காலம்

வாசிக்க: 1இராஜாக்கள் 20-21; 2நாளாகமம் 17, கொலோசெயர் 3

Scripture வேத வசனம்:

கொலோசெயர் 3:1. நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவுடன்கூட எழுந்ததுண்டானால், கிறிஸ்து தேவனுடைய வலதுபாரிசத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கும் இடத்திலுள்ள மேலானவைகளைத் தேடுங்கள்.

2. பூமியிலுள்ளவைகளையல்ல, மேலானவைகளையே நாடுங்கள்.
3. ஏனென்றால், நீங்கள் மரித்தீர்கள், உங்கள் ஜீவன் கிறிஸ்துவுடனே தேவனுக்குள் மறைந்திருக்கிறது.

Observation கவனித்தல் : நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவுடனே எழுந்திருக்கிறீர்கள் என்று பவுல் எழுதுகிறார். நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவுடனே கூட எழுந்தருள்வீர்கள் என்று பவுல் எழுதவில்லை. கொலோசெயர் மூன்றாம் அதிகாரத்தில் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுடனே கூட எழுப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம் என்ற உண்மையின் அடிப்படையில் எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. நாம் எதிர்காலத்தில் பெறப்போகிற ஒன்றை இது குறிக்கவில்லை. இப்போதே நாம் உன்னதங்களில் அவருடனேகூட உட்காரவைக்கப் பட்டிருக்கிறோம் (எபேசியர் 2:6). ஹவாய்த் தீவில் நாங்கள் பின்வருமாறு பாடுவதுண்டு:

“Keep looking down, keep looking down

from the heights were the glory doeth abound.

For you are seated in heavenly places with the King;

who are you to be moved by anything!”

மேற்கண்ட பாடலின் பொருள் என்னவெனில், மகிமை நிறைந்த உன்னதங்களில் இருந்துகொண்டு தொடர்ந்து கீழே பார்த்துக் கொண்டே இருங்கள். ஏனெனில் நீங்கள் இராஜாவுடன் உன்னதங்களில் உட்காரவைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள். எந்தக் காரியமும் உங்களை அசைக்கமுடியாது என்பதாகும்.

Application பயன்பாடு : நான் இப்போது எழுப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன் என்ற புரிந்துணர்வுடன் என் சூழ்நிலையை நான் அணுகும்போது, அது என் பார்வை அல்லது கண்ணோட்டத்தை எந்தளவுக்கு மாற்றுகிறது. நான் காலநிலைகளுக்கோ அல்லது துப்பாகிக் குண்டுக்கோ அல்லது காலத் தடைகளுக்கோ மேல் அமரவைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன். நான் ஆக்கினைத் தீர்ப்புக்குட்பட்டவன் அல்ல.

Prayer ஜெபம்: கர்த்தாவே, நீர் என்னை எழுப்பியிருக்கிறீர். உம்முடைய ஆளுகையின் கீழ்வந்து, உம்மை சேவிப்பதை நான் தெரிந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறேன். நான் விடுவிக்கப்பட்டவனாக இருப்பதால், நான் என்னைச் சுற்றிலும் இருப்பவர்களுக்கு பணி செய்வதை தெரிந்து கொள்கிறேன். உம்முடைய மாதிரியைப் பின்பற்ற எனக்கு உதவும். ஆமென்!

Have been vs. Will be

1Kings 20-21; 2Chronicles 17; Colossians 3

Scripture: Colossians 3: 1 ¶ Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

Observation: Paul writes, “Since then you have been…” He does not write,
“Since, then, you will be…” The instructions given in the rest of the chapter are based on the fact that we HAVE BEEN raised with Christ. This is not something we will have in the future. Even now we are seated (Ephesians 2:6) with Him in heavenly places! In Hawaii we used to sing:
“Keep looking down, keep looking down

from the heights were the glory doeth abound.

For you are seated in heavenly places with the King;

who are you to be moved by anything!”

Application: What a difference it makes in how I view my environment when I approach it with the understanding that I am presently “raised with Christ.” I am not under the weather. I am not under the gun. I am not under time-restraints. I am not under condemnation.

Prayer: Lord, You set raised me up. I choose to come under Your Lordship and serve you. And because I am free, I choose to serve those around me. Help me follow Your example. Amen.
